SPINEART ACADEMY IN HAMBURG, GERMANY
As part of the Spineart Academy 2012, Spineart just conducted in close collaboration with the University of Hamburg and GE Healthcare the 4th consecutive CME accredited course on motion preservation and minimally invasive spine surgery techniques. During two days, over 50 surgeons from 13 countries were introduced to Spineart’s latest spine surgery technologies through scientific lectures and hands-on specimen workshops led by a renowned international surgeon faculty from France, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland. In 2013, the Spineart Academy will expand its activities with a new program of sophisticated, international training sessions to be communicated soon.
FIRST 5-LEVEL MIS SURGERY WORLDWIDE USING SPINEART’S K-WIRELESS SYSTEM
Dr. Slawomir Moszko, MD, Neurosurgeon, OA of the department of Neurosurgery at the Klinikum Deggendorf, Germany, successfully performed the world’s first 5 level MIS percutaneous construct without K-wire using Spineart’s system.
Spineart has achieved a new milestone in Minimally Invasive spine surgery by providing the world’s first Minimally Invasive K-wireless spinal fixation system, ROMEO®2 MIS.
The opportunity to operate without the K-wires is designed to improve the procedural efficiency, reduce the infection risk and the radiation exposure. The ROMEO®2 MIS can be used with a mini-open or percutaneous approach.
All implants are sterile packed and bar-coded for increased safety, procedure compliance and cost-efficiency.
Sanofi Spine, a subsidiary of Sanofi, is the exclusive distributor for Spineart’s spinal implants in Germany.

NEW OPTION IN CORRECTION OF SPINAL DEFORMITIES
Spineart is adding new reducer tubes to its ROMEO®2 LC system to provide an alternative tool to surgeons for vertebrae derotation. The tubes allow for multi-level progressive rod-persuasion, application of a cantilever force for derotation and fast release.
ROMEO®2 LC is a posterior fixation system completing the ROMEO®2 range and designed to enable thoracic and iliac fixations thanks to a unique streamlined tip design of its screws, available in various diameters and sizes, a large range of auto-stable hooks, rods available in different materials and rod connectors. The system is designed to answer the needs for traumatologic, tumors and scoliotic treatments.

A NEW MILESTONE IN MINIMALLY INVASIVE SPINE SURGERY
Spineart is adding a new instrument to its ROMEO®2 MIS system, offering a pure percutaneous minimally invasive solution to perform long constructs (multi-level), especially for the treatment of trauma and tumor indications.
The minimally invasive posterior fixation system ROMEO®2 MIS in combination with ROMEO®2 MIS RETRACTOR system and the JULIET®OL and JULIET®TL cages offers a complete minimally invasive solution in order to perform M.I.S. 3 column stabilization.
Spineart has reached a new milestone in minimally invasive spine surgery by providing the world’s first minimally invasive K-wireless spinal fixation system, ROMEO®2 MIS. The option to operate without K-wire is aimed at improving the procedural safety and efficiency while reducing patients infection risks as well as staff radiation exposure. The ROMEO®2 MIS offers the option for surgeons to follow a mini-open or pure percutaneous approach.
All implants are sterile packed and bar-coded for increased safety, procedure compliance and cost-efficiency.
