All Spineart implants are packed sterile with an outer box label which incorporates a clear image of the implant, the reference number, size, quantity, lot number and expiration date. This information is conveniently summarized and stored on bar codes. Spineart uses a standard universal bar code system that is easy to process.
As hospitals move to Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Spineart bar coded implants provide a traceability benefit, as they are compatible with any EMR system. Implants may be scanned as they are used in the operating room during surgical procedures, saving time and reducing errors.

The association of barcoding with an effective hospital tracking system ensures that only the implants used will be billed.
