The first cervical disc arthroplasty surgeries ever done in Uruguay were performed using BAGUERA® C

Spineart is proud to announce that the first cervical disc arthroplasty surgeries ever done in Uruguay were performed using the BAGUERA® C Cervical Disc Prosthesis.

In January 2021, Dr Alvaro Rocchietti successfully performed the two procedures at the British Hospital de Montevideo.

Dr Rocchietti commented “The two patients had an excellent post-operative result, without pain and a full recovery of their pre-operative symptoms. They are both satisfied with the outcome of the surgery”.

The BAGUERA® C Cervical Disc Prosthesis is an MRI safe spinal device. The endplates of the BAGUERA® C are anatomically shaped and their inner bearing surfaces are coated with a diamond-like material that features a low coefficient of friction. The load sharing design and the guided mobile nucleus are intended to prevent excessive constraints on the facet joints and the adjacent levels.

With over 10 years follow up and more than 44k units implanted worldwide, BAGUERA® C stands out as top-notch artificial disc replacement device, elegantly engineered to ensure a safe and effective treatment option for the patient.
